Winter Meetings and 1st Pick Rumors!

Commish Matt of the Millenium Baseball League has announced that the league will hold it's first Winter Meetings in league history. Being held at the Dolphin Resort at Disney World (or Slack). Time of the meeting will be from 8 pm-11 pm eastern time.

This is a great opportunity for owners to make last minute trades before the draft the next day. The league hopes that all owners will be able to attend but understands if some owners are not available.

What is this man up to?

Owner and Manager for the Minnesota Millers, Walt has the first overall pick in this years 2005 draft. Word on the street says that Walt is not going to take the #1 prospect (King)Felix Hernandez with the pick. Instead he'll be looking at adding hot corner prospect Freddy Sanchez with the number one pick. WHOA! If that is true that will shake up the 1st half of the first round of the draft. Walt has put out there that he is willing to trade the 1st pick if the deal was right. Stay tuned and see what Walt has up his sleeve. Walt was not available for comment.
